Directly after graduation, I connected with Third Lens Ministries and joined their team as a remote sustainability and design intern. Third Lens manages projects for other nonprofits and ministries throughout the world. One of the nonprofits they work with is known as But God Ministries (BGM). BGM works in an impoverished community in Mississippi, and I worked with them to update and redesign their comprehensive plan that they send to stakeholders and funders. Through many meetings, updates, and revisions, I was able to help them develop a plan that was satisfactory to all parties and represented the mission of the ministry.  The experience strengthened my management, collaboration, and communication skills. The internship was an enlightening and informative experience, and I am grateful to Third Lens and BGM for giving me this opportunity.
